I have what is now considered an "old" Ipaq, (HP 1940) and Tom Tom Navigator 5. I would like to update the maps but have no idea how to go about it. The Tom Tom site only has new maps for Navigator 6. Is there anything I can do? |

To be honest - probably not a lot.
It's time to consider buying a stand alone satnav solution (eg TomTom / Garmin et al). TTN hasn't been updated since V6 (with V675 maps) and that is over 12 months ago - and no promises for a further release. the cost of buying th V6 and maps is not far off buying an entry level TT / Garmin nuvi
If you want to remain a PDA based user then you may want to look at other solutions (CoPilot, Route 66 ?) _________________ Phil |

You can update to version 6, i believe it was ver660 that ran on ttn5, but obviously it will not be available from tomtom, so the only option is to find someone who has updated and prepared to sell their copy, but not sure whether the protection would allow this, check the version matrix for version on this site. |

If I remember correctly, for a while, TomTom were actually giving away a free update to Navigator 6 if you bought a new v6 map.
Can't see any mention of it now, but it might still be true. |
