is it possible to download poi's to this unit if so how - i have already got map overlays but tey are obviously not as useful ?

it looks like a re-housed garmin unit in which case you could try poiloader software from www.garmin.com/poiloader to transfer csv files

if that works then let me know and i can update the compatibility table!
