CoPilot 7 gps tracks

Hi All,
My first post here, although over the last few days I have had a good look around

I work "in the trade" so to speak, and so know a little about mapping & GPS, however am a beginner on specific devices themselves - dealing mostly in enterprise scaled systems and not consumer. I've an Orbit 2 with CoPilot 7.

The standard GPS tracks write a NMEA string every 3 seconds. Does anyone know if it is possible to force the device to write out at 1 second intervals? I've had a look around at the device files and registary, but no luck. Any help appreciated!
