Hi there one and all,

Just got a new edition X960 and have spent ages battling with the software to 1) update speed cameras and 2) loading up POIs

With the speed cameras I eventually decided to download the latest software 7.0.3 I think and hey presto I can update cameras. You would think that new addition would mean new addition Wink

But as for the POIs.............. nil point.

I have followed the info on creating an .ascii file from a text file and saved them. The problem is that "Content Manager" fails to see the files when I try an add them. I did try dragging them into the folder on the SD card, they appeared on the satnav folder but not on the map.

Anyone got any answers.

Welcome to the forum. Wink

I think you mean asc (ascii is character encoding _ simple explanation)

Just to be sure, is THIS the info that you have followed and which set of POIs s have you loaded? Did you resize the bmp files?

Hi there Gee Pee

All I want to do is add my own poi's to the My POI file that alraedy exists.

here is an example of the txt file I created and saved as an asc.

;Longitude Lattitude Place
;-------------------------------------
-4.18917, 52.91248, ”BRS”

;end

When I open up content manager/my VIAmichelin/MY POIs/create a new folder and browse content manager does not recognise the presence of the .asc file I have created?

Hi i too have recently got an x960 and have been struggling. I downloaded a program which helps. [url]http://www.poiedit.com/
havent managed to get the bitmap to display I only get a folder icon on screen, I have resized the bitmap, it has to be 12 x 12 or less I am led to believe.
Also make sure that when you go into your poi`s that DISPLAY ON SCREEN is turned on
