I have at last got the latest US map (715) added to my account as part of the latest map guarantee (the Europe one came down last week).
The problem I now have is that the new map is 1900MB, whereas the old US map on the 920 is 1400MB. I therefore need to get rid of 500MB worth of stuff, and I don't think that's possible!
Is the alternative to put it on an SD card? If so does TT Home give you the option to choose to put the map on the card? I'll need to buy an SD card first, but if that's the only way to do it then so be it.....
I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who has upgraded both maps and got them to fit!

Not quite the same situation, but I was assigned the large 910-sized v710 W+CE map that was too big for my 720 internal memory so I just installed it straight onto an SD card.
Then TT decided they had given me the wrong one so I got allocated the smaller 720 version, but by now v715 had come out, so I put that one on the internal storage and kept the large one on the card.
All works fine.
If you have an SD card in the Go, Home starts up with a "select device" page that you don't see if you haven't got one. IIRC, I just selected the SD card in Home when it first started before I began the download.

This depends on the card.
Only my 4gb card is recognized by HOME...My 8gb and 16gb cards work in that the device can read them, However HOME does not recognize them and cant write to them via the TT card interface. Indeed the bigger cards cause the Mac OSX to hang when I connect the 920 with them in it. No problems in XP or when I use the cards with a reader.
The 920 has 4gb, so anyone needing to upgrade simple needs to delete all the maps on the device and then DL the new map. I assume that all old maps have been backed up of course!
After the new map is installed, if one does not want to use an SD card, then cspeechxxx.dat voice recognition files need to be stripped out of 1 or both maps as needed (preferably only the non-primary map). Avaialble memory is also a function of how much non-map data is stored on the device, ie mp3, etc.
Normally, for someone in Europe, the US cspeech files can be deleted (no issue as they will be in the backups and can be restored later). Just dont use HOME for backing up, do a manual copy!
Thanks Infama that worked a treat - I now have both the new 7.15 maps on my 920 internal memory. It seems the version of the North America map that came with the 920 didn't have the cspeech files anyway which explains why it all works out of the box. Shame TT don't do something to make that process a bit easier, you shouldn't have to manually delete stuff just to install the latest maps!
