Can anyone enlighten me about international maps ?.
My question is, I have a Navman F50 purchased in Australia, if I purchase a UK map from England will it be compatible with my GPS ?.
The cost of genuine Navman from the Australian website is approx $ 220, whereas the same map in the Uk site is 35 pounds ($76 ) a considerable differance but I'm unsure as to whether both machines are the same.

In the past I have done exactly as you are proposing. Both myself and son-in-law purchased PiN 300's, myself purchased in Australia and he from US (although living in Europe). I purchased the 2 sets of Pan European Maps from UK for both myself and son-in-law with no problems.
Only problem I had was to ensure the I was not charged the VAT for my maps, as ordering from Australia is VAT exempt, although the Australian Customs are at liberty to charge the GST.
Don't forget that the delivery to Australia will also cost a few dollars more, so factor that into the cost as well. From memory the shipping was about AUD 50 for DHL delivery to Australia, but it still made it about 2/3rds the Australian price in total.
Fortunately, now the S-series come with ALL maps on CD and now very easy to purchase the unlock codes from immediate emailing of the codes. _________________ Navman S90i
