ok guys so i got impatient with sorting out a mount for my ipaq 3630 and ended up screwing the swan neck windscreen mount to the dash , 2 small self tapping holes easily filled later if i ever sell the car

but what i want to do now is have sound from and power to the ipaq , how can i manage this , are there any elegant solutions , the swan neck dosent have a sleve attached to it only the square bracket that slides on to the back of the gps sleeve , which means there will always be a cable hanging around when the units not in the car

i have a cigarette lighter charger , but its kinda ugly when fitted , i`d like to tidy it up some how

does the sound from the ipaq only come from the headphone jack (speaker besides )at the top or does it come from a bottom connection as well , that would make it even tidyer if a connector of some sort was available to do both sound and power

Sound doesn't come through the 12 pin connector, that's serial, USB, and power only. It may be coming through the 100 pin connector, but then you would need to slide the iPAQ into and out of the jacket all the time. You are really better off with just plugging/unplugging the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Why would you actually need that? The 3630 has one of the loudest speakers...
