TomTom 720 Update Mapshare

Hello guys
Finaly i got my 8GB SD to work,
i have the New map i got From Tomtom 7.15 Western and central europ
But i have it apart that the application
i am using the application in the HD of the tomtom and Map in the SD card
But while i update it said my Mapshare is out of date must be updated, and when i scan with Tomtom Home it said there is no Udaptes.
Any suggestions please ????!!!

Yes.
In order to get Mapshare updates for that map, you need to do two things
1. you need to have that map selected on the unit using "Manage Maps" / "Switch map"
2. You need to select the SD card when Home starts up, not the internal memory.

Conversely, to update a map which is on the internal memory you have to switch to THAT map (you can do it on the virtual on-screen device in Home) and then re-set Home to be looking at the internal memory, either by re-starting it or by using "change device" in the menus.


This DOES work, but Home has been very bad at getting Map Share updates at all over the last few days. Problems at "their end" as usual!

Thank you so much for the answer, Wel the map is my standart map i am using only one map who's in my SD Western and Central Europe
and when i connect my Device i chosie SD card to be updated but still i dont get any Updates,
i have choised to recive Mapshare in my tomtom device ect....
but unfortunatly i am not reciving Updated

cyberbot, As Andy said, many people (myself included) are not getting mapshare updates at present even though we have our systems set up correctly. Most of the discussions appears to be going on in the topics showing latest Home version numbers. Once others start saying they are receiving updates again, give it another go.
