mitac c210 software on other mitac sat nav???

i have a mio c210 with the dvd maps and have just got a mio 268+ will the software and maps for the c210 work on the 268+ as its much better on the c210 than the version 2 thats on the 268+

the 268+ does not do full digit postcodes which is a bit poor but hey its old now and it was very very cheap ...thanks

Hello, good evening and welcome.

As far as I know, the software from the C210 will NOT work on other devices such as 268+ because the maps are different and not cross compatible.

With the maps being different, I would have thought it highly unlikely that anything more unit-specific (such as MioMap software) will work on both units.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but unless somebody else knows better it looks like this is the situation.
