TomTom - Map No Longer Available for this device message

So. I paid for a new map which I have downloaded and installed.

BUT when I hit update, I am told that this map (North American 2GB) is not available for the device and it wont let me download it.

So why?

Does this mean that I can not longer use it?

Does it mean I get a refund from TomTom

I thought the TomTom terms sadi you can download it for ever as you have bought it.

Am I screwed?

Maybe best to continue in THIS ONE, but if you've downloaded and installed it already, you aren't exactly screwed are you?
If you have got backups then you are fine.

but you cant update them

and if you lose the backups? computer gets nicked?
