loading poi on garmin 760

I have been trying to load additional poi onto my garmin 760 first time I put them on the unit, but I dont think they all loaded. Since reading your forum I have now put them on the SD card and I can see all the little icons on the map.But as before cannot find them if I search in any of the poi catagories.Is this normal?, if so it not much help as I cannot use them as a destination.
This my 1st sat nav and only had it christmas

Did you use POILoader to install the POIs or just copy them to the card?

Garmin usually put User POIs under a Custom POIs category.
