Help in relation to the Navtec mapping software please.

Looking to getting a Sony GPS due to the fact that they use Mavtec mapping.

Or I was looking at other GPS devices but not sure which ones use navtec.

I was also looking for a Navtec device that also has telephone numbers in there POIs.

Is navtec better than the others is is there better out there, does anyone know of any navtec reviews. Are there any other companies that do the mapping itself.

The reason i'm interested is that I have navtec in car GPS for Alfa Romeo and now Im getting another car I would like portable GPS that uses navtec. Many thanks

Navteq is the mapping company that supply map data to the various vendors, TeleAtlas is another mapping company, see Here neither company manufacture navigation units as such though.
Have a read of my reply to your other post re the Sony unit, I think you are about to waste some money unless you change your mind on device manufacturer - Mike
