Bluetooth security question with 920 (and other units)

I've only recently gone Bluetooth with the 920 and a Blackberry 8830.

So I've got questions about security and I figured that there are some experienced Bluetooth folks on this forum.

If I've paired my bb8830 with my Tomtom920 and with some XX Model earphone, can anyone with those same devices use/link/pair/whatever to MY BB or is there some other "security" or pairing/coding that was involved initially. If my phone is on and in my pocket and someone has the same model XX earphone can they dial my phone? Can another Tomtom920 copy my contact list?

Should I turn off "discoverable" unless I'm pairing some new device?

What have I failed to ask in this same vein? (g)

Along with the actual hardware name is a unique ID number that also has to match, you can get at this information with "certain" software but I think it was withdrawn from sale quite some time ago due to it being possibly used to hack devices.

If you look at This Code the boxes of text above each portion of diagram explain the function, the BT discover is to the left, only the unique Hex address is used by this application. (Note the link will open a Word Document).

That said I normally only turn on the discoverable portion of the Phone when I really need to - Mike
