Navman iCN610

I am having problems downloading the safety camera software to my Navman iCN610. My computer will not recognise the ZIP file format (I have managed to extract the initial bmp and asc files but can not then download to the satnav (computer operating on XP). Can you offer any help ?

I'm slightly confused...You say your PC won't recognise the zip format, but then you say that you can extract the .asc and the .bmp files.
So it seems that bit is going OK.

Are you following the install instructions HERE?

It says there that you need to run the "SmartST" desktop program.
If you are doing that, the important bit you might have missed is:

Thanks for the help, I have now managed to download to my Navman.
I needed to put *.asc in the File Name window to open the file.
I need to give it a trial run in the morning to see if all is OK
