Hiacom 204E + TomTom2.24 + Toshiba e355 no GPS signal

Help a complete newbie I have an Ipaq with the above software and Gps everything workes fine, I but the wife a toshiba E355 use the same software and gps and it will not find any gps signals I am completley baffled please help there is a note on the hiacom cd it says
Installation Notes:

TOSHIBA e330

1. Connect Toshiba e330 with your desktop/notebook PC with cradle.
2. Decompress the driver (ce_pl2303_071102.zip) inside your desktop/notebook PC and then sent all file to CE device.
3. After installation, select COM 1 and start GPS

Note: If the GPS receiver didn’t communicate with your PDA, Turn off PDA power -> Press Reset -> Music -> COM 1

When I look in the GPS Settings it doesn't have a com 1 only a com 2 and where is the reset button on the toshiba e355
