I've seen a set of 710 maps on an sd card - listed as being for tomtom go. Can I use them in my tomtom one v2??

Sounds pretty dodgy.
As far as I know, v710 maps were never sold on SD card (at least in the UK), so these must be either maps that have already been used on a unit or hacked pirate copies.
If they are the former, they will be locked to the original sat-nav they were bought for so will not work on yours, if the latter you're likely to have all sorts of problems PLUS no backup support from TomTom or help from here.
Get the proper ones.... |

I'm a little confused: If you look on the tomtom shop they are selling the Western European maps for the tomtom one v2 on sd card. |

I have just re-read the advert. It says that the maps are for the tomtom 710! so now that I've cleared that up (apologies), can I use sd card 710 maps in my tomtom one v2?

My apologies!
I had forgotten that they have JUST started selling the OLD v710 WE map on an SD card too.
They haven't done that for ages....
So let's start again.
I just went to the TomTom Mapshop and you can put "ONE 2nd Edition" in the drop down box and you are offered v715 as a download or v710 on SD card (Both the same price, so it's your choice if you want a "free card" or the newer maps).
Whether what you've seen is a genuine map or not is another matter.
Where have you seen it?
Remember also that you need the TomTom system software on the card too, so if it's a genuine card it might have older software, and if its a dodgy one, it might not have any. |
