Question for those people who were accepted on the trial, have you received your SD cards, or any emails from TomTom apart from the one saying they were running behind schedule?
As yet mine has not arrived, I've emailed them twice, and no reply, also no emails regarding the trial ie how is it working are there any problems etc etc.
Lets not discuss any of the fuctionallity features/issues as we do not want to upset the TomTom Police Force and get this thread closed like the last one. Remember the NDA ! ! ! ! |

Arrived today, 15th January, haven't tested it yet but I'm expecting problems as my device has changed since registering and the device code is not the registered one. I'm not sure if the SD cards are pre configured for the device code or they register with the first device they are used with?
UPDATE : The new maps worked OK. |

My SD card arrived today as well.
NOTE TO ALL OTHER PARTICIPANTS: The card contains a new APPLICATION in addition to the map, which wiped out all of my favorites, settings, third-party plug-ins, etc. This should go without saying, but...BE SURE TO DO A WINDOWS BACKUP BEFORE PUTTING THE SD CARD IN!
I don't believe this information violates the contract, but if a mod disagrees then feel free to edit this post accordingly. |

No. Everything is on the SD card. If you remove the SD card, you are back to your old setup |

runarg - That's what I thought at first, but when I tried removing the card and reverting to my old map, I did go back to app v7.221, but everything else was lost. |

Guys'n'gals, we're not here to act as TomTom's unpaid Police Force but I would appreciate it if any discussion of the test software was confined to areas that do not contravene the NDA you agreed to when accepting the offer.
I've no issue with general discussion but any discussion of the actual software, versions etc or anything else that falls under the NDA is not welcomed and will be deleted.
Please use the methods TomTom have supplied you with to provide feedback direct to TomTom. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren, fully agree and support you and TomTom with the NDA and I have no intention to discuss any of the beta functionallity.
As a bit a feedback I was a little disappointed at how abruptly the previous discussion was shut down. I agree that the previous thread did drift into NDA areas, but a polite warning like yours, would have been better. If people then continue to ignore the warnings, then close the discussion.

We make mistakes just like everyone. On that occasion the response was a little over zealous hence my post here.
We don't like locking threads where an alternative option exists so as I said, I'll allow this thread to run and simply edit any posts that step over the line replacing the text with am Admin comment.
So long as the majority posts are within the guidelines I don't think we'll have any problems _________________ Darren Griffin |
