Amazing Reception on Nuvi 750

It's a bit astonishing how sensitive the reception is on my Nuvi 750. In some ways it's too good. It locks on in my basement. It locks on in my office at work. It locks on in my living room.

Today while I was waiting at the doctor's office, a room with NO WINDOWS, it got strong locks on 7 sats! I'm sitting there in the waiting room and my little car icon is shifting tiny bits, all 5 bars on the signal meter lit. I checked the Sat. screen and it had strong signals on 7 Sats and weak on 3 others! It correctly showed that I'm about 30 yards to the north of the little car icon that it left behind when I took the nuvi out of the cradle in the car.

In some ways it's too sensitive given that it's sometimes easier to find/create waypoints and routes with the Nav feature off.

i just got a 710 for review and was very impressed with the speed it picked up the satellites - not tried it in the cellar yet though
