POI-warner but no active sync

Hi all - I'm new here and new to POIs. Please be gentle and help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd like to install POI-warner, but the connection between my PC and my PDA is broken. So no active sync. I have access to the SD storage card via my PCs card reader. This is the only way I can install software on my PDA. Is this possible?

BTW I'm using a Mio 168 with Navigon MN6

No, I can't make a physical connection between the PDA and the PC because the slot on the PDA where the datacable fits into is broken beyond repair!

So the only way to get data onto the PDA is via the SD card

Try this, it worked when I just tried it:

1/ Download the application on to your PC
2/ Run the installer on the PC, Active Sync should throw up an error message as its not connected, don't bother with the error just leave it on the PC.
3/ Start Windows Explorer and go to

C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\POIWarner

In this folder will be three files one of the them is called:

POIWarner_ARM.CAB

4/ Copy this to your memory card, right click it and check the Read Only property so the CAB file won't self erase when you install the app.

5/ Put the memory card into the PA and use File explorer to locate the CAB file, tap it and the application will install

6/ Should you ever need to re-install the application simply run the CAB file on the device again - Mike

The cab file had a different name, but your suggestion worked, mikealder. Thanks a lot for that!
