Ok, i've downloaded the voices to match my spped-zoned camera download.
As far as i can see I have to copy them to the same file as I put the speed-zoned tones. They are in my folder on the Tomtom titled "Western_Europe_1GB_S" which as far as i know is the one where the POI's are (well it was when I put the warnings in and tested them and they were fine)
So, as per your walk through i've come to that bad stage where it's asking me "is this the sound you want to select".
I realise this is not correct but I now don't know where to go to work this out.
Does this look ok to your trained eyes...
These first two are the Speed camera ones:
And this is the voice warnings:
Thanks

When the device asks "Is this the sound you want" simply answer YES even though you have heard nothing and it will have picked up the audio file automatically, this is a know bug with all version 7 software - Mike |

Oh I see... i'll give it a go.
And after i've done that will I then be able to try out the test with those post codes provided?
Thanks

Yes, try the postcodes in the guide and it should give a Gatso 30 warning followed by a mobile 30, if you let the demo run for a further 10 minutes at 100% speed it should also offer a Gatso 50 and Mobile 50 warning - Mike |

If you're still here tuttifrutti....
Your pictures showing your files are great, things like that help a lot to diagnose problems, but if you're wondering why some of the files seem to have three letter extensions and some don't, its because you still haven't altered windows Explorer's display to show them all.
This makes it a LOT easier to see what's going on.
The only safe way is to always describe the FULL filename including the three letter extension (.txt for text files, .exe for programs etc.)
To fix it, so we can more easily discuss things in the future, you should go to either My Computer or Windows Explorer and:
Go to the 'Tools' Menu,
Select 'Folder Options'
Select the 'View' tab
Scroll down the list of entries and UN-tick "Hide extensions for known file types"
DONE!
Hopefully, you should now have three files for each camera type:
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.bmp
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.ogg
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.ov2
etc. |
