Hi all im new to the site. Just bought my first sat nav went for the tt 520. whilst exploring and trying most of the features out i came across the record your own voice command, i tried this but when i played it backed i could hear a loud buzzing noice. i thought it may of been interference from my computer but went in seperate room and the same still occurs, this also happens when making calls on handsfree.
was wondering if tt520 is faulty.
Any suggestions please. |

Yes it is faulty, and a common fault. Send it back.
If you use the "search" feature at the top of this page, put "buzzing" in the box, and set it to search the TomTom Go/Rider/One part of the forum, you'll get 46 matching results. |

Of course if bought from a bricks and mortar shop take it back there for a refund or replacement.
Repair times from TT are horrendous - don't go down that route.
I had this problem, the retailer replaced the unit (didnt even look inside the box!) and the replacement is fine.
If you have already updated from the internet them you will need to set up another account with a different email address as the serial number will be different. |

My 520 came back a week ago after being away six days for "buzz repair".
Return unit had same serial numbers so I assume they just fix & return them now but of course contents erased, older maps & software.
And yes, it works great now
