Well, the title says it all really. is anyone else still having issues with the TT 910 suddenly greying out the Audiobooks, making them unselectable? It's really starting to annoy me now. If not, what are people doing to fix the problem? |

Thing is, why the **** did they release a piece of kit with 'features' that don't work? I was driving up the Motorway yesterday, switched on the TT and all books 'gone'. I've just been Activating/Deactivating for 10 mins now and they still ain't back. |

Hi Guys.
That's one of the many reasons mine went back.
I would have used this function a lot, particularly on motorways.
I see HappyTrucker is activating/deactivating, that's the only way I could get mine to work, but that was no good to me if I was out on the road without my laptop.
Now got a device that does what it says on the tin. :D

I have found that a simple reset using a pin works some of the time, I have not bothered re-activating the audiobooks using the PC software for a number of weeks. A prod of the reset switch works with about a 25% sucess rate on my unit - Mike |

Hi Mike.
What I've found works about 60% of the time is....deleting all the books using Audible manager then reloading them. I sometimes still have to give it a few Activations to kickstart it, but it's the most successful thing I've found so far. It usually deletes the bookmarks though. Oddly, resetting has in the past caused me to lose my audiobooks. Ruddy thing
Here's a partial respose I got from TT support today about this:
Quote: | We are always working to update our software to improve its performance. We will be releasing software updates in the near future which will improve the audiobooks feature on your TomTom. Meanwhile it is advisable for you to update to the most recent software if you have not done so already. Have you checked for software updates when your TomTom is connected to the HOME dock? |
So, let's wait and see. |
