Since I did the last software update (to version 7.162) I am finding that I cannot connect my TomTom Go 700 to my Bluetooth mobile phone.

The TomTom does not try to connect to the phone automatically as it used to do and there is now no option in the phone menu to connect to the phone as there used to be - or to be more correct I cannot find it.

Any ideas so I can keep legal?

Though my XL doesn't do the handsfree bits, it's also not making an active connection to the mobile since the update to 7.162. It does connect up if I try using it though.

Have you tried making a call or getting a weather update etc as this may bring the connection up?

Do you have the 'Manage Phones' menu entry?

Thanks for the replies

First may I confirm that the Bluetooth on the phone is activated as it is on the TomTom!

GerryC - I have tried to make a call from the TomTom and all I get is "Connecting" and then when it goes off then I am still seeing the "?" at the side of the phone on screen showing it has not connected. There is no response whatsoever from the phone.

Darren - I do have the "Manage Phones" option and all I have on it is
Phone (with a ? next to it showing not connected)
Find other phone (it will not detect the phone when tried)
Delete phone (I have not used this!)
Disable wireless data (crossed through)
Disable hands free (crossed through)

Any further ideas?

I'd delete the existing '?' entry then search and re-pair.

Thanks Darren - tried deleting the phone and rediscovering it - no joy.

My Bluetooth enabled laptop will detect the phone but not the TomTom

Have you tried a reset? Does your laptop detect the GO?
