Hi
have just bought my first garmin, as the coverage was better for example Guernsey was covered on garmin and not on my Tomtom.
Cple of questions if I download the same files for the speed camera database will they work, or when I download them is there a different option to go for of here. Do they use the ov2 file types the tomtom uses.
Also is the traffic re-routing of any use as the one I purchased had free traffic rerouting on it.
Cheers

Garmin use csv files or gpx files.
Usually you use a program called POILoader to load the files to the unit when downloading from here so you need to select
Garmin POILoader
and then the type of camera database you want (Single File, Speed Zoned, Consolidated). I use Consolidated personally.
You can't use ov2 files although if you already have ov2 files of other POIs you may be able to convert them. |

there's no need to modify our cameras as you can just redownload the other format.
can i ask where you planned on downloading the database from as the last version you downloaded was july 2006 so this would be very very out of date!!
