Hi,

I have just changed my Peugeot 206 to a Peugeot 207 CC. If anyone has a 207 CC then where is the best place to mount a GO300 in the car? I am using the mount with the external Aerial so where do you also mount this on the car, after all we don't want the roof getting all tangled up in the wires?

I hope this is the correct forum to ask this question, sorry if it is not Smile

Thanks,

Bob_W

Hi Bob_W,

I prefer the Brodit solution. Have a look at:

653815 ProClip (Peugeot 207 06-08 For all countries)

603817 ProClip (Peugeot 207 06-08 For all countries)

Regards,

First, you can buy little sticky-backed plastic ring things to thread cable through - I did this with my external aerial when I had the GO700 in my van.

Unless it would be possible to put the aerial blob on top of the windscreen frame, I'd guess you can only consider running the aerial under the carpet, into the boot and out through the rubber sealing. It didn't give me any weather problems taking it through the rear door seals on my van.

Privateer does the Brodit mount take the GO300 aerial mount? The aerial is hard wired into a replacement mount part of the sucker thing.

Hi Privateer,

I did read up on the Brodit mounts, however, I have also read about problems with them regarding the GO300 aerial mount and also about them also not being worth the money for two pieces plastic. I also don't want to damage any part of the fascia of the car as it is only a week old.

Hi DennisN,

I think I have found a place on the roof to mount the aerial blob, however, I have to be careful as the 207CC has a folding roof which folds into the boot. I don't fancy using the sticky backed material as some people are saying once you have it in place it takes a lot to remove it and I don't want to mark the car.

I had read some time back the Brodit mount has problems with the GO300 aerial mount, something about not enough room or something.

The sticky backed ring things are obtainable in Halfords. They are about half an inch square and have sticky backs covered by a peal off paper. I have never considered them particularly well stuck to the paintwork, I'm sure they'd come off easily enough if I wanted. Then any mark would come off with a rub of either a bit of car polish, or a dab of washing up liquid rubbed hard. Can't imagine it damaging the paint.
