Rikaline Plug into HP Jornada 520

I have just purchased a GPS receiver, Tom Tom Navigator 3 and a mount to use with my PDA, a HP Jornada 520. All works fine for the first few seconds then the plug into the PDA seems to lose connection. It does not fall out but I have to push it up and back slightly before it connects again. The connector is part of a combined Rikaline in-car charger for the GPS and PDA and converter from the serial from the GPS to the socket at the bottom of the PDA. This is really annoying as I purchased these for a trip I need to make on Friday and need to get it working as soon as possible.

Just another quick question; I purchased these from eBay, however the receiver was listed as a Rikaline but I was sent an Altina although the charger combination is Rikaline; is there any difference in these receivers? Thanks.

I realise this may be in the wrong place, but I am new to these forums and at the time this seemed the most appropriate.

Is there perhaps a cradle for the Jornada which includes a connector which the PDA can sit on, then the cable from the GPS reciever plugs into the cradle? This would seem to make sense, however I cannot find any cradles for Jornada 520.
