hi all,
well its arrived.
i have downloaded the speed cam update from garmin,after the month is up i will subscribe here.
i have not been near a camera yet,but will the unit warn me or do i have to do anything?
also how do i add traffic alerts?
is there an idiots guide on the site,i think i may need that to start with

The GARMIN speed cams will automatically alert.
The ones from this site need you to have proximity alerts active - but I think this is the default setting.
Traffic alerts: This again will be 'automatic' but....
If you are using the internal string aerial supplied on the GTM unit then you will need to have this positioned along the windscreen. However using this aerial is problematic in the UK due to low transmitted power levels. (Have a look through the forum for ways to improve this - if you can conect it to an external aerial it will work much more reliably).
The triangle on the main screen (bottom RHS) will be blue if traffic info has been received. You will get a red warning triangle on the map/navigation screen if there is a delay on your planned route or, if you aren't following a planned route, if there are delays on the road you are driving on. _________________ Phil |
