hi

i have the ipaq 2210 and the rikaline x6 my software destinator 3 and i testing also with tomtom 2.08 and 2.09. my problem is and was that when i set the settings for the cf-gps (with tomtom much settings works) it works but if i switch off the pocket or reset them the settings not works again or hi find a modem. the errors are different from the software: tomtom are simple not connected or cannot open com1:port does exist ; destinator are com port is occupied or some times gps not fund; when i apply the settings again and with tomtom insist on socketcf+... i can bring it to work after several clicks the same on destinator with com1.
now, i read a lot in this forum and it’s very good but i can’t find something cut help my. i send my X6 to the dealer in Berlin and they send my back a new one from the last generation but the same problem Crying or Very sad :x !!!!!!!!!!!!!
the best is that one time i cut solve the problem with i don’t now how many resets i sink 40 or so but after the next one all the same story.
i working one this about 2 weeks and I am tired now.

Help

Have you read the review here? http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/rikalinex6.php

It mentions some of the problems that you are having. Maybe your replacement unit is faulty as well...

Selecting the driver in the top box in TomTom Navigator 2 called NMEA 0183v2 4800 and in the bottom box selecting COM7 (if it is there) or the Rikaline option should allow it to work on the 2210.

Saying that, the original X6 we had that detected as a modem didn't work under WM2003 on the 2210 and it had to be firmware flashed to update to the latest version. It sounds like your retailer may not have the latest firmware revision cards from Rikaline.
