TomTom GO 720 constantly offered the same updates

Hi all, is anyone else getting this problem? When I connect to the internet I'm offered software updates. The latest being "TomTom application for GO520 GO720 GO920" (27.7mb) I install the software & disconnect.

Next time I connect I'm offered the same software. I did have software installed that allowed me to operate my TomTom via the computer. Now I can't as it's telling me I need the software to do it. When I ask to download it I'm told that it's currently not available.

When you power up your 720 what version of software does it think it has installed?

Hi, thanks for your replies. The software version is 2.1.2.121 but it's only small updates that it contstanly wan'ts to re-load. I have given your advise a go Graham & so far it seems to be ok, telling me that there are no updates.
