GO 720 Planning a route

Can someone please tell me if this is possible? I have a lot of addresses to visit round a town and would like to drive the shortest possible distance. I have gone to intinery planning and put in all the addresses as waypoints but when I ask it to start navigation it just goes through the list in the order I input them. Is there a way to get the device to work out the most efficient route?

The TomTom cannot optimise a route which is what you want, if you have AutoRoute you can enter the data into the PC and optimise the route in Auto Route before saving the data. Convert this to an itn file and load it to the TomTom - Mike
