Try the reset button on the TomTom, if this fails try pressing it for 30 seconds, if this fails you might want to consider re-installing a previous back up to the device - Mike |

Do you have a back up of the device on the PC? if so I would install that, if not try TT support as there have been a number of problems with recent software version (s) - uk support is 0845 161 0009 - Mike |

Yes there is - connect the device to the PC if/ when TT Home starts up simply stop the application on the PC. Use Windows Explorer and you should be able to see a drive listed as TomTom. Use Windows Explorer to copy the back up to the device - Mike |

Windows Explorer can see the card in the device - I mean it is listed in Windows Explorer as a drive?
If you click this drive to open it does it display any folders/ files?
Right click it and select "Proerties" what does it say?

ok, once plugged it shows as removable disk (f)
click on it and its saying the disk in drive f not formatted do you want to format now, click yes nowt happens, unable to format.
right click properties
file system RAW
used space 0%
free space 0%
capacity 0% |

Sounds like a dead card to me
Buy or borrow a new card and try to restore your backup onto that one. |
