|

I have the TT6 latest Western European maps on their way on DVD. Is it just a case of copying the relevant countries to my SD card where the GB maps are located ?
I'm a bit paranoid as this is on a Nokia E61...on which TT6 works like a dream...and I don't want anything to screw up and I'm loathe to use TT Home as I tried it before and its just too dominant. I guess I'm trying to avoid any "install" processes so the"copy maps" option would be an easy one...I hope.
Any advice appreciated... _________________ TomTom 720

I think - but don't hold me to this that you don't get a choice of countries - all the countries are contained within one set of mapping files. there is no country specific data. This will go into a top level directory on your card. On my N80 it's called Western_Europe-Map. However I just installed everything - I don't recall having the option to select specific countries.
When you first swap maps to the new MOWE you will be asked to unlock the maps as you had to do with the UK maps.
You can have both UK and WE, each with their own set of POIs, cameras etc, on the card and swap between them - if you want.
Don't forget to take a copy of your card before doing anything - just in case! _________________ Phil |

The v6 DVD that came with my Artemis (Pocket PC phone) had both the full Europe map and each country, so you could pick what you wanted to intall to the device, although with the cheap price of memory cards these days even the full Europe map won't be an issue at around 1GB - Mike |
