Do you need Full European/US Maps? if not then I'd consider a newer device, if you do then that's not a bad price. Bear in mind that as it's discontinued, the maps supplied with it will be out of date.

Personally I'd get a TomTom ONE version 3, comes in a shade under your budget and is a good unit.

Really Darren? If you mean the One "Third Edition" I thought general opinion on here was it was a lemon.
Everyone likes the ONE "New Edition" with the SD card slot though.

My mistake, 'Third edition'. The general opinion you refer to here is that of users who have had experience of other models and are comparing the Third Edition with previous incarnations.

The opinion of users new to the market (the target for this model) is entirely different. Many have no need of SD slot dropped in this model. As the previous model is now discontinued, direct comparison isn't really fair.

if you want a no frills system for UK use and don't need Bluetooth hands free or access to PLUS Services then the latest ONE is till the solution I would recommend.

In my defence, both regional and European models of the "TT ONE" (presume 2nd Edition) are still showing for sale alongside the 3rd Edition on the TT website.

Maybe all these users are only happy with the 3rd Edition because they don't know what they are missing - management of third-party POIs and itinerary planning for example.

There also seems to be a problem of random re-booting affecting quite a few users reported here.
