Moving from V5 to V6

I have a licensed copy of TT5 with the latest V6 maps, which I originally ran on a Palm TX device. I activated a new device in February this year, which then died within 3 months!

I then moved to a Windows Mobile device (painful, I know, but I needed a convergence device) and the XDA Orbit fit the bill. It's not perfect (in fact it's woefully underpowered for true multi-tasking) but it was the closest at the time to the ideal solution.

My 180 days on my existing device is now up and I want to activate TT on the XDA. However, the XDA supports TT6. I have a license for the current maps, and know that the latest version (6.030 I think) can be downloaded from the Tomtom site.

However, can I activate the maps that I own on the XDA using version 6.030? Or am I stuck with version 5 for the time being, unless I purchase another licence?

you should be able to use TTN6. In any case you license the maps, not the app.
