Hi everyone,

I bought a TomTom Charger and on box said TomTom One Europe etc

It can be used in Europe,UK,USA,Australia but i notice on eBay all are selling with a USB end not a Circle AV Jack end which i have on mine.

Does it have to be USB or can i use this charger i got for TomTom One V2?

The Model Number for it is: A10P1-05MP

Thank you,
Mat

Are you sure you have a V2 ? The V1 which was black in colour was fitted with a socket accepting a straight jack plug for charging. The V2 and the V3 are silver and have a USB socket.

If it is a V2 you have, then it is impossible to use a charger with a straight plug and you must obtain USB plugged charger.

The different version numbers are getting confusing (to me, at least!), but:

If you have got a round DC socket on your TomTom, then it will ONLY power and charge through that, NOT via the USB socket, so the charger you bought will be fine.

On later models they got rid of the round DC socket. On these you DO charge via the USB socket.

And so if you have bought a ONE 2nd Edition or later model you will need a USB charger. If the charger you have bought has a DC plug on it, this is the wrong type.
