Please forgive my ignorance but can someone please show me a link or explain in english how to get my poi's ive downloaded into my tomtom?Im useless with computers and dont understand zipped folders etc,many thanks. |

THESE instructions are for the camera database POI files but the procedure for ALL POI files is just the same. If you already have the zipped up files on your PC, start at step 5. If you already have a good backup, skip steps 8-10.
If you are not installing camera POIs you will probably not want or need to set up an audible warning as you approach them so you can ignore step 20 onwards.
Shout again if you get stuck! |

Thanks very much Andy,will give it a try tomorrow and hopefully its easier than it sounds because after just reading it,well,its scratch head time. |

It's really easy...
Stage one:- unzip/decompress the downloaded file on your PC to get two files for each POI: one called, for example, library.ov2 the other called library.bmp
Stage two:- copy those two files into the map folder on the TomTom
Stage three: "enable" them by ticking them in the TomTom menu
That's all. It only gets to sound complicated when you try to write instructions to cover all levels of experience...[/i] |
