TT one xl restore

Just got the above and backed up to PC. I want to use a 1Gb SD so tried to restore but it won't have it. I eventually managed to restore to sd using PC card reader but will not work in Tomtom.
Any help appreciated.

How did you make the initial backup of the ONE XL?

Hi Darren, I used the home software as supplied which worked ok but could not put a formatted SD in the XL and do restore. Not a lot of point having backup then really. I might be doing something wrong tho!

Probably the read speed of your card isn't up to the job and the TomTom is rejecting the card because of this FAQ's #1 and #8 are worth having a look at Here - Mike

That's it, I tried two different cards no good so used my Sandisk 2Gb from phone and it worked!
Thanks Mike appreciate it, been driven mad with this I thought it was copy protection.
