Just got the above and backed up to PC. I want to use a 1Gb SD so tried to restore but it won't have it. I eventually managed to restore to sd using PC card reader but will not work in Tomtom.
Any help appreciated. |

Hi Darren, I used the home software as supplied which worked ok but could not put a formatted SD in the XL and do restore. Not a lot of point having backup then really. I might be doing something wrong tho! |

Probably the read speed of your card isn't up to the job and the TomTom is rejecting the card because of this FAQ's #1 and #8 are worth having a look at Here - Mike |

That's it, I tried two different cards no good so used my Sandisk 2Gb from phone and it worked!
Thanks Mike appreciate it, been driven mad with this I thought it was copy protection. |
