Hi All,

I've hit some issues setting my Nuvi 350 (Firmware version 4.60), to use voice prompts for the speed camera database. I've downloaded the database in separate files for the different categories and speeds. Converted the oog files to MP3 files and put them in the same directory as the POI files with the same filename (different extension). I've used the Vicky voice from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-ogg-files.php

The problem I'm hitting is this. The first red light camera/gatso/mobile camera/whatever POI that I approach will give me a voice warning. After that I get nothing. Also if I have an Audible book or MP3 playing the play just stops, and won't start up again. If I power off the unit and power back on I can play MP3's, Audible books untill the next voice warning.

Has anyone come across this before? Any suggestions?

Maybe try copying the MP3 file to the Nüvi and see if it is happy playing it manually - though it's hard to imagine what could be 'wrong' with the file that would give that symptom. You've not inadvertently added an hour of silence to the end of it, I take it Confused

I reckon it must have been my conversion utility. Not happy playing manually either. I downloaded another converter and new MP3's work fine for the most part.
