Acer n50 3 in 1 car charger

I have a acer n50 worked great till I used it in the wifes car it blew the fuse in the bit that plugs into the fag lighter I replaced the fuse it no longer lights up nor can I get a signal on my gps when I look in pda settings it shows battery not charging. do I need the y cable (fag lighter to pda an gps) or cable and gps do think I've looked around for the y cable and its comming in at 17 quid!!! the cable and reciever arnt much more any advice?

Does the PDA still charge from the mains using the same socket as the car charger? If so - then you just need to replace the car charger unit - it sounds as if he electronics decided to give up the ghost. If the ACER isn't charging via another external source through the same connecter then it may have damaged the internal battery charging circuits. This is less likely but worth checking before you buy a replacement.

Yeas it charges ok from the mains I guess its the car charger I need I'm struggling to find a uk supplier though

I got my car charger from ebay for the n50. There is plenty on there for under a £5

try morpethmobiles.co.uk I ordered a Y cable for smartphone and reciever and for £13 they sent me a 12/24 volt chager with y cable built in
