Why does Poiedit report PGPSW is offline when the instructions indicate the use of this programme ?

POI Edit is a useful tool which can be used to view, compile, merge etc. POI files, and as such it is often recommended here.
But the "automatic update" feature is not supported by this site because it does not have "static" lists of POIs. The files are compiled "live" from the master database at the moment you download them.
What instructions here, say you should use it that way? |

It's included, presumably, because the Software writers haven't bothered to take the PGPSW Link out of the Program. _________________ Richard

Ahh, so the mention is on the POI Edit site?
Looking at Peter's quote peterweston1 wrote: | .... when the instructions indicate the use of this programme ? |
I took "programme" to mean the POI Edit computer program so the instructions would therefore be from here.
If the instructions are on the POI Edit site, what "programme" are they talking about? The PGPSW POIs are not a program.
Anyway... I've been trying to contact the authors/webmasters of POI Edit for some time, without success. Last time I looked, their forum was looking very unloved, smothered in spam and the genuine questions going unanswered. So I think they must have other interests at the moment and are letting the site "drift". |
