I have a new Ipaq 2210 with a fortuna clip on blutooth gps receiver which I have installed TomTom 2 navigator which works ok but I also have memory map installed and there seems to be a conflict with the com ports Tom Tom uses Nmea 0183, com port 8 serial bluetooth and memory map also wants to use the same but when i try to connect to the gps with memory map an error message swaying could not open com port is received, I have uninstalled TomTom and memory map then works fine but as soon as I reinstall TomTom the same problem occurs, can anyone please help me resolve this problem
Thanks |

Please read the posts at the top of the TomTom forum. This problem is due to the TomTom GpS driver 2.08 and 2.09 permanently occupying the BT COM port. Several fixes are available for that. _________________ Lutz

Assuming TomTom GPS 2.08 or 2.09, the fix can be found in this thread.

Thanks to you both for that, since posting I had also found the answer in the memory map forum, after removing TTN2 gps all works ok but the only problem I seem to have now is after I run memory map and then try to run TTN2 it goes into a big sulk and will only work after a soft reset , I have also emailed TT and they replied saying they will look at the problem at a higher level !!!
Many Thanks
