I have just upgraded my car to a Nissan X Trail which has a NAVTEQ sat nav system with its data on a DVD
I cannot find this in the list of camera updates, neither are there any ways of making my own POIs as I could with my old TomTom (sitting in the drawer)
Can anyone point me towards a site that I can find about this system and how I can tweak it - or must I pull the old TomTom out of the drawer? _________________ Furry Fred

its more than likely a VDO system Navteq is only the map data provider
as far i know very few if any fitted systems allow import of custom poi and speed cameras i know vdo use there own database but ive never used it and i think it was 100 pounds or so per year from memory _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. You can't find it because it's not supported. Very few built-in systems support custom POIs. In this area (and many others) your TomTom is a far superior solution. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Why would you pay £1000+ for a car satnav when the like of tomtom are cheaper and better with POI and handfree phone calls _________________ TomTom Go 700,

from how i read it, the satnav came with the car as opposed to being bought and fitted at a later date

The car is a motability car and, as MaFt said the satnav came with the car.
A very good 7" display and voice guidance, but naff facilities and very few POI's.
Might use the Navteq for the map but use TomTom for guidance and hands free ![Rolling Eyes](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif) _________________ Furry Fred

Yes I know what you mean, but some people pay the extra when they first buy the car, I am talking about these people _________________ TomTom Go 700,
