I am heading to Western Australia next week and will be doing some travelling so wouldn't mind taking the GPS (Mio A201). Where might I find some mapping of Perth and Western Australia? Or am I better to wait until I get there now? |

You may have to wait till you get over there as the Aussy map is no longer listed for sale on the TomTom web site so purchasing it would be rather difficult. You could try e-mailing support or sales to see if you can still purchase it, but for some reason it was recently dropped from the TT web pages where you buy maps - Mike |

I just registered to say that the reason the Australian tom tom maps have been taken down is they are soon to release the new "V14" sensis maps. These include new roads such as the tunnel in sydney and also speed limits for major roads. |

It's been that way for at least 2 months...
I don't see availability of the AU 675 maps on the TT site for a long time to come, it's probably some screwed licensing deal that Sensis have with TT to only package the maps on new units for the first 6 months.
However I have seen new units on sale already loaded with 675 here.
... I would strongly recommend to stay away from any of the MIO range over here, I purchased one of their units in May 2006, the map was from August 2005 and they never updated till December 2006 which was still 12 months old at the time. Plus the route mapping left a lot to be desired.. constantly taking me down 4wd only fire tracks when working in the Adelaide hills. |

Response from TOMTOM today (25th July):
The downloadable maps of Australia, South Africa and Central Europe are currently not available from our map store.
These maps will become available again within the next few weeks.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and advise you to keep an eye on our website. |
