As a newbie to Navman devices, SmartST is driving me bonkers!
Am installing POIs following the procedure exactly but everytime I disconnect to check they are OK I get an error message saying, "....some maps did not load correctly", - yet everything appears to be working correctly !
Is this by any chance a known bug?
Secondly, whilst using Smart ST, every now and again I get a message saying that Smart ST is not installed on my Navman and do I want to install it? Why?
[a] Does one have to have it installed on the Navman as well as the Desktop?
[b] If so, why?
[c] There is absolutely no information on this in any of the documentation or help files! But then again what does one expect from an MS programme?
If anyone can help please do so otherwise I'll be sending this back and reverting to my trouble-free Nüvi300. _________________ Nobody is perfect, which is why I'm called nobody!

Possably! Uninstall all the poi's and check the maps all load up ok. If not you may need to send it back.

Smart ST does not need to be installed on your GPS device. As for the message you are getting, I'm not sure. Try a different usb port on your computer. _________________ Dom

Thanks for that mostdom, however I manage to solve my problems by finding out how to completely uninstall and re-install the whole operating system after which everything worked perfectly including the 1Gb SD card I was using. :D

Thanks old_nick but I installed SP2 a couple of months ago.
All my problems sorted now but still wishing they'd find a better way of installing POI's and maps than using ActiveSync! _________________ Nobody is perfect, which is why I'm called nobody!
