TomTom One v1 GPSFix menu option Greyed Out ?

Hi Everyone

I have just purchased a Tomtom one xl & have found that i can update the GPSFix option from within the tomtom plus services menu. My friend has a Tomtom one v1 & we have managed to find the GPSFix option inside the Tomtom Plus services menu / Download more menu ? But it is greyed out ? Can anyone tell me how we can make the GPSFix option active please ? Thanks for any help you can give me
