Hello
newbie just purchased a nuvi 66o it works geat strait from the box , But then I found this site and POIs ,it all seems so complicated ,so can any body please tell me how to format a 2gig SD card ,
is it format fat32?, I have suscribed and down loaded the GPS speed camers ,I have loaded them and the fuel POIs to my 660 ,do I need to disable garmins preloaded speed cams ,if so how do I do it,I down loaded petrol station but they dont show on the maps,but they are loaded in POI folders along with gps speed cameras
any help would be greatly recieved BEFORE I go mad

Garmin sat navs don't show POIs unless you select them as a destination or via point.
As for the card and the pre-loaded Speed Cameras i'm not sure. |

Not strictly true... If you zoom in close enough on either 2D or 3D display - then they are shown - at least on my 660. _________________ Phil |

Ah.
Thought all Garmins treated the POIs the same. |

It works on my 660. In 2D map, zoom in until the scale reads 200ft and they appear. At 300ft - nothing seems to be shown. Anyone want to confirm if this works on other units? Same in 3D map - no scale is shown - but it is the same as the 2D scale (if you see what I mean).
If route following then this scale isn't too bad - I refer to be zoomed out a bit more for general driving though. _________________ Phil |

yeah similar on 310, just need to zoom in and pan
still cant get my SD card to show up POI's?? |
