Having received the new GB & WE map from TomTom for Navigator 5 I have been trying to set up an address for Palma de Mallorca Airport without any success. The address is 07000 Palma de Mallorca but that is not accepted. Are there any POIs for the island or can someone offer any advice, please.
thanks |

Is there a GB and WE map, or is it the GB & MRE one? Either way, can you navigate to a POI in a city? Or have you scrolled around the map to find the airport? _________________ Tim |

Hi: it's GB & WE and I tried the POI and ended up with all UK airports!. I even thought of making Palma the Home address and seeing what I got, but aain its British but with 900+ miles. Scrolling the map produces petrol stations only.
thanks

Now I'm confused. If you tap the lower right part of the screen, where the sat strength meter is, then tap where the version number appears, can you tell me exactly what it says after Map: please? _________________ Tim |

OK, it's as I thought. You only have Major Roads of Western Europe (known as MRE) so your map might not even have any roads for Mallorca on it. _________________ Tim |

I found a petrol station that is in the POI list that appears to be at the entrance to the airport. If you select destination as petrol station POI near Palma de Mallorca the last one is it.
I'm amazed that the airport isn't in there though

Thanks everyone. Actually the main roads on the island are there, but as you say, not the airport. I shall await TomTom—they will probably say buy the Spanish maps!
Many thanks to all concerned.
Better still, throw sat nav away and adjourn to the bar for the week! |

I found it a boon when, coming out of a Feria in Palma at 1 am, I was diverted by police to drive out through the middle of Palma. At night you couldn't see the road names, so my paper map was useless. TomTom got us straight home (to Port Andratx) without any hassle
