Garmin iQue M5 & MapSource -- City Select.

Hello All,

Can you please assist, my bad memory.

I still use an M5 still works very well even on trips overseas with the proper maps. Recently while in the States, I found a circle coming on while driving thro' certain cities , I cannot remember why the circle with no details ?

What does the circle indicate ? a map not downloaded. ?

I use a Garmin Ique M4 (identical to the M5 but without bluetooth & wifi). The circle surrounds your position (the blue arrow) when the satalite reception is poor (due to high rise buildings, trees etc). The size of the circle indicates the accuracy of your position. If the circle is small, the accuracy is still good. If the circle is large, then your actual position is somewhere within the circle. If you enter an area where your map data does not cover, then you will get a very small circle around your position (if this happens, you will also notice there will be no street level detail). Hope this helps.
