Hi all,
Can someone tell me if the database has NZ speed camera locations or just EU? Can't find that info anywhere and am not going to subscribe on the off chance! |

I don't think there are that many fixed speed cameras (maybe 20) in New Zealand. The big problem is the mobile cameras which are unmarked and dificult to spot. As far as I know there is no database of these.
And that's without mentioning the Police with their "Eagle" radar units which they can use while driving along.
Get a good radar detector is the best (though expensive) option but not 100% reliable and you will still get caught by the Eagle systems from time to time. _________________ Gone fishing! |

zoom in on the google map there are a whole bunch of 'monitron'-type cameras that get moved around regularly
also a few regular mobile haunts are on there

Ahh, so there is!
I see a couple of mobile sites, but there are dozens more that are not marked. They are everywhere. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Thanks for the advice. I'm not worried enough to buy a radar detector, just want to make the most of the Navman I have just bought.
I've managed to find a .csv file with 70 NZ camera locations, including know mobile sites. Haven't uploaded them yet as the Bast**ds at Navman now charge for the upload software! |

Yuks ... does it mean that Navman now charges to have the upload tool for your own custom points of interest too? |
