I have a TT 910 in my own car at present, also have a Mobile 6 pda/phone which is running TT5 right now.
My plan is to let my wife have the 910 for her car, and me use the phone for satnav in my car - as it is smaller and easier to mount for me.
TT5 is now getting very long in the tooth and I cant really see any use in buying navigator 6 for it as the maps I believe are still pretty old.
What would you good folks recommend I put onto my phone running Windows Mobile 6 as a replacement ?
Ideally I would like it on cd/dvd so that I can install / reinstall - put onto a micro sd card of my choosing.
spoken alerts PGPSW safety cam database and poi compatibility a must !
Many Thanks

How about GarminXT on a phone - it can be Symbian or WM based. YOu get the functionality of a basic nuvi (ie no TTS) but it is fully compatible with the POIs from this site and it comes with the 100,000's you get with the GARMIN maps (whether they are all worth it is another thing!).
It ticks all the boxes you have mentioned. See the GARMIN website for details of compatible phones. _________________ Phil |

In addition to the Garmin one a few others to either consdier or dismiss:
Co-Pilot Live is about the only application to consider that will meet your needs.
Route 66 version 8 doesn't support custom POI's at al so you cannot install the PGPSW database.
I-Go is locked to the micro SD card it is supplied on.
TomTom as you say is too far out of date to bother with.
McGuider, a fairly newcomer but it can be transferred to other memory cards (with a bit of help from their support chaps) - Mike |

I'd suggest CoPilot or iGO. _________________ Darren Griffin |
